The mission of the Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology is to establish a child, family and community centered learning environment that develops (1) leadership, (2) an understanding of business principles, (3) academic excellence in core subjects, (4) second language acquisition, (5) an understanding of and appreciation for technology, and (6) character.
Our urban-focused school is committed to high academic outcomes for each student. High standards for social, physical, and intellectual development are maintained, which allows children to experience success in a secure, challenging, and exciting setting.
The staff of the Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology consists of dedicated professionals who are committed to each child’s academic success. Each staff member will model for the students a value system of integrity, honesty, respect, understanding, and commitment.
Student and staff progress is regularly assessed in order to improve performance and facilitate the achievement of educational goals. The Charter School will effectively identify and use all the financial and human resources available in order to maximize student performance. The school will serve as a model of excellence, which can be replicated throughout the nation.
